Oral Finasteride for Hair Loss

OVERVIEW:

This treatment plan outlines the dosage, administration, expected benefits, and potential side effects of oral finasteride for hair loss treatment. Please read this plan carefully, along with the manufacturer’s information provided with your medication, for complete details regarding precautions, interactions, and other important safety information.

Finasteride is a prescription medication used to treat androgenetic alopecia (male pattern hair loss). It works by reducing levels of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that contributes to hair follicle miniaturization and hair thinning.

By lowering DHT levels, finasteride helps slow hair loss and, in many cases, supports regrowth of thicker, healthier hair.
