PT-141 Injection Peptides Support Plan

OVERVIEW:

This treatment plan outlines the dosage, administration, expected benefits, and potential side effects of PT-141 (bremelanotide), a peptide therapy used to support sexual desire and arousal. Please read this plan carefully, along with the information provided with your medication, for complete details regarding precautions, handling, and other important safety information.

PT-141 therapy is considered investigational and is typically used as part of a broader sexual wellness treatment plan

INSTRUCTIONS:

For sexual wellness support, you have been prescribed:

PT-141 (25 mg in 5 mL vial)
 (Concentration: 5 mg/mL)

Dosing:

  • Inject 2 mg as needed
  • Administer 45-90 minutes before sexual activity
  • Approximately 12 doses total per vial

General guidance:

  • Administer via subcutaneous injection (under the skin) unless otherwise directed
  • Use a new sterile needle and syringe for each injection
  • Rotate injection sites (commonly abdomen or thigh)
  • Use the exact prescribed dose and schedule
  • Do not exceed one dose in a 24-hour period
  • Do not exceed 8 doses per month unless directed by your provider
  • Store medication as directed (commonly refrigerated)
  • Do not use if the solution appears cloudy or contains particles

  • PT-141 may cause temporary increases in blood pressure and decreases in heart rate after dosing.

  • Long-term safety data is limited. Ongoing monitoring and provider follow-up are recommended.
  • If you experience unusual symptoms (such as severe nausea, persistent headache, or cardiovascular symptoms), discontinue use and contact your provider.
  • Do not use medication that appears compromised or improperly stored.
  • Do not share this medication or use it outside of medical supervision.

ACTIVE INGREDIENT:

This medication contains the following active ingredient. Do not use if you are allergic to any listed components.

  • Bremelanotide (PT-141)

ALLERGIES:

Allergic reactions are uncommon but possible.

Stop this medication and seek medical care if you experience:

  • Rash or hives
  • Swelling of the face, lips, or throat
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Severe injection site reaction
