Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream 0.1% for Eczema/Psoriasis

This treatment plan outlines the application, dosage, expected benefits, and potential side effects of triamcinolone acetonide 0.1% cream for inflammatory skin conditions. Please read this plan carefully, along with the manufacturer’s information provided with your medication, for complete details regarding precautions, interactions, and other important safety information.
This medication works locally on the skin and is intended for short-term use or as directed by your provider.
INSTRUCTIONS:
For treatment of your skin condition, you have been prescribed:
Triamcinolone acetonide 0.1% cream (30 g tube)
General guidance:
- Apply a thin layer to affected areas 1-2 times daily as directed
- Gently rub into the skin until absorbed
- Use only on affected areas, do not apply to unaffected skin
- Wash hands before and after application (unless treating the hands)
- Do not cover with tight bandages or occlusive dressings
- Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes.
IMPORTANT NOTES REGARDING YOUR TREATMENT:
Use only as prescribed. Do not apply more frequently or for longer than directed.
Prolonged or excessive use of topical steroids may lead to skin thinning, discoloration, or stretch marks.
Avoid use on the face, groin, or underarms unless specifically directed by your provider, as these areas are more sensitive.
Do not use on broken, infected, or untreated skin unless instructed.
If your condition does not improve or worsens within the expected timeframe, follow up with your provider.
ACTIVE INGREDIENT:
This medication contains the following active ingredient. Do not use if you are allergic to this ingredient or any components listed in the manufacturer’s information.
- Triamcinolone Acetonide 0.1%
ALLERGIES:
This medication may cause an allergic reaction in some individuals.
Stop this medication and seek medical care if you experience:
- Rash or worsening irritation
- Swelling of the face or skin
- Difficulty breathing
- Severe skin reaction
CONDITIONS:

- Skin infection (bacterial, fungal, or viral) in the treatment area
- Rosacea or perioral dermatitis
- Severe skin thinning or fragility
- Unexplained worsening of rash
- Prolonged use without improvement
